“Safe, private and reliable place with a beautiful view of the mountains. Jorge is very trustworthy and always willing to help out with whatever you may need. This is my second stay (I was there two years ago) and I must confess I love the vibe of the place and the über cozy terrace bedroom. There is a kitchen with two fridges. Showers are piping hot, which is a blessing when it rains.”

“Jorge is an amazing host. He helped me arrange a couple of tours was super friendly and always helpful. The facilities are clean the rooms are a decent size. It's a bit of a walk from the center of town but once you get your bearings it's a nice walk and I always felt safe The other guests were all great. We even arranged a BBQ. It gets cool at night (at least in January) so dress warm and you can always ask for another blanket. I will be back next time I'm in town.”

“Casa de los Colores, one of my favorites hostels I stayed at in Mexico. I came for one day but ended op staying for a very long time, also because San Cristobal is such a magical place. The hostel has a great location , 10 minutes walking from the fruit and vegetable market and 15 minutes from the vibrant city centre. The hostel has simple private rooms with all you need. There is a communal kitchen with all the utilities you need. The showers are hot and clean as is the kitchen. Jorge the owner is a great guy who always is looking for upgrading the place. He did a lot in the time I was there. He is super friendly and helpful, and then there is Mayra his right hand, always there in an excellent mood, nothing is to much for her. With a smile on her face she keeps the whole place clean for the guests. It also has the best roof terrace in San Cristobal, with an amazing view off the mountains. Super colorful and cosy with all the plants and let's not forget the two cute cats, La Princessa and Candy, always there to hangout with you! A perfect place to meet travelers from all over the world and have a good time drinking a beer on the roof in the hot San Cristobal sun. It is not a party hostel but very social and quiet in the evenings. Perfect value for money. I had an amazing time and will definitely be back one day. Thank you, Jorge and Mayra, Hasta luego.”
